Dominic A. Varrasso
Dominic Varrasso, the principal of
VarrassoAccounting, commenced as a Tax
Agent in 1976, initially as Varrasso & Co. and recently as Varrasso &
Associates. VarrassoAccounting is a member
of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA). Dominic is also a
practising solicitor and member of the Law Institute of Victoria (LIV).
During his accounting career, Dominic has predominantly worked as a sole
practising Tax Agent and then Public Accountant since 1988, in addition
to lecturing in law at a tertiary level, acting in corporate roles and
being involved in Litigation Insurance. Dominic has gained experience in
most areas of Taxation and Accounting throughout his career, for both
small businesses and individuals.
VarrassoAccounting acts for
individuals, and small to medium-sized enterprises (SME), at all times
striving for practical solutions and utilising resources in a
cost-effective manner.
Dominic Varrasso, in conducting accounting services, brings his
knowledge and experience from working as a solicitor as well as in
finance and provides, if required, a holistic approach to the client’s
needs, as Dominic believes that the legal and accounting disciplines
complement each other in business and Taxation matters.
Dominic has a Bachelor of Laws from The University of Melbourne and a
Graduate Diploma in Business (Accounting) from Deakin University and is
a member of several professional organisations, including: the Institute
of Public Accountants (IPA), Insolvency Practitioners Association of
Australia (IPA), National Tax & Accountants’ Association (NTAA), the
SMSF Professionals’ Association of Australia (SPAA) and The Institute of
Arbitrators & Mediators Australia (IAMA).

Dominic Varrasso is assisted by Mrs Maria Varrasso, who is also a
member of the Institute of Public Accountants (IPA) and Taxation
Institute of Australia (TIA), in addition to being a registered Public
Accountant.
Maria Varrasso holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from Deakin
University, majoring in Insurance, Commercial Law and Accounting. Maria
has been assisting Dominic since 1979 in the management of the taxation
practice for a number of years and is now working with Dominic as an
accountant and the Managing Director of
VarrassoAccounting.
